Why volunteer for Project Seagrass

Volunteers play a crucial role in our work to save the world’s seagrass.

As a charity driven by our communities, there are many ways you can get involved in our work, from supporting us at our seagrass seed collections, uploading your seagrass sightings to SeagrassSpotter, to collecting and planting seagrass fragments washed ashore during storms.

Whatever your interests, we’re bound to have an opportunity for you.

For me, being involved with Project Seagrass has been inspirational. Seeing and learning about this world renowned species in our local sea and playing a small part in it's restoration has given me both hope and joy. I am so looking forward to continuing our journey towards it's restoration.
