Udara joined Project Seagrass in April 2026 as the Policy Officer based up in Edinburgh.

Udara’s background is in marine sciences and fisheries policy; in addition to a strong presence in the policy and advocacy space in Scotland. A key part of her work is in engaging with policy developments and advocating for Seagrass habitats in Scotland.

She recently completed a masters in Marine Systems and Policies at the University of Edinburgh, and brings with her core understandings of how to apply marine sciences and knowledge into enriching and creating policy.
