Claudia Foster joined Project Seagrass in September 2025 as a Fieldwork Technician, bringing hands-on experience in both marine and terrestrial ecology.
She holds a BSc (Hons) in Animal and Conservation Biology from Edinburgh Napier University. Before joining Project Seagrass, Claudia worked with Highlands Rewilding, where she carried out baseline and ground-truthing surveys in a range of habitats across Scotland for Trustable AI Mapping (TAIM) project.
Her seagrass journey began overseas as an on-site Research Assistant on a PhD project based on collecting seagrass data in Kenya. She helped lead baseline surveys in seagrass meadows, working closely with local communities. This experience deepened her interest in community-led conservation and the importance of seagrass habitats.
In her free time Claudia enjoys being at the beach and surfing.
