A key part of Megan’s work at Project Seagrass is engaging with policy developments and advocating for the protection and restoration of seagrass habitats across the UK.

Megan aims to ensure that scientific evidence informs decision-making, helping to achieve positive outcomes for marine ecosystems.

Megan’s background is in marine science and policy. She studied Marine Biology with Oceanography at the University of Southampton before completing an MPhil in Zoology at the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining Project Seagrass, Megan worked in Westminster for the Marine Management Organisation, developing post-Brexit fishing policy.
